This is a really fun plane. It is similar to the old Aero Ace planes, but I think it is much better. I was surprised by how well it handles wind and turbulence. Flight times are long, and it's quite maneuverable. The foam construction is very durable. It reminds me of stiff EVA foam. The horizontal stabilizer can be easily adjusted up and down by sliding its trailing edge through a series of detents to alter the plane's speed and turning ability. With it set all the way up, I can fly slow circles in a very small space. With it all the way down, I can fly fast in windy conditions.
One thing I don't like about it is the supplied charger charges through a micro USB port on the bottom of the plane. The charging circuitry is in the charger, not the plane. If you were to plug a standard USB cable into the charge port on the plane, the battery could be overcharged, which is a fire risk.
Another thing I don't like about it is the battery polarity is reversed from all other batteries and chargers that use the same plug. This is also a fire risk and a risc to electronics if you have onther planes and batteries of the standard polarity. This is easily fixed by carefully removing and swapping the pins from the plugs on both the batteries and the plane. Just be careful to not touch the battery pins together. Now I can use my hobby grade charger for the batteries, and I don't have to worry about the possibility of using the wrong polarity battery in a plane and frying the electronics,
This is an excellent little plane. I just wish manufacturers would stop deviating from normal battery polatity and charging practices.
Very good. I am happy with it all.
Regards Dave
