Internally, digital servos have additional electronics that may provide it with more consistent torque for quicker and smoother response times. Because of this, digital servos may consume more power. In RC cars (crawler type) I have been using analog and digital servos without noticing any difference between the two types. You will have to choose based on your requirements for faster response or less power consumption.
